According to Mobile Syrup it seems that Google Nexus S is coming out and coming soon! Yeah! Finally Canada gets some love. I know its coming for Rogers or Belus, but will Wind or Mobilicity get it? Mobilicity does carry the Google Nexus One and I assume they will be getting for sure, but I don't perceive Wind mobile sitting on their hands for the Nexus S. With a slew of enhancements and the New Android Gingerbread 2.3, I'm sure its a hot phone coming to our shores.

LTE (or commonly known as 4G) can reach peak download speeds between 100 – 150 Mbps (Megabits per second), which is damn fast and is now fast enough to compete with home internet services via Rogers cable or Bell Simpatico. Since Wind offers unlimited bandwidth, many customers may opt-out to get the wireless data sticks instead. This is a big leap for wireless services in Canada.
There's a lot of buzz around Chatr wireless and their future offerings of data services to go along with their unlimited phone services. This is big news as almost 40% of the customers are just buying SIM cards and putting them in their LOCKED Rogers phones. Phones that are purchased from Rogers will work with a Chatr SIM without a hitch. The only drawback from using Chatr is strictly the fact they do not have data services. Well, from all this buzz around the internet, data is coming!
I do suspect it will not be unlimited like Wind Mobiles, or Mobilicity as Rogers and Fido customers will jump ship and move over to Chatr in a heartbeat. Many Rogers iPhone 4 users are cutting their Chatr SIM's into microsim's and are using Chatr.
Will Rogers and Fido hurt when Chatr launches data? I think so!
There has been a lot of confusion in the market with which phones can and cannot be used with Wind or Mobilicity. Both Wind and Mobilicity run on AWS (Advance wireless service) which is a 3G protocol competing with the HSPA or HSPA+. But its not GSM. This is where i feel the confusion is. T mobile USA (TMobile UK will not work), Wind Mobile and Mobilicity both operate on 1700/2100 MHz AWS. Most phones from these carriers will work with each other. T-Mobile also has GSM, so that's why i wrote most! FYI: Blackberry will make the same model twice.
1. HSPA + GSM - Rogers, Fido, Bell, Telus, Koodo, Chatr(they currently don't have data)
2. AWS - Wind and Mobilcity
